Sorry I have not updated everyone in a while. We've pretty much been in a holding pattern for the past few weeks. They keep changing the forecast, so I've just been waiting until the time get's closer and they have more reliable predictions.
The latest predictions say the Red River should hit 38 feet by Friday. That is good news! This past Friday the neighborhood fortified the existing sandbag walls, and the city has been going crazy building huge clay dikes along all the roads. So now we just need to monitor things next weekend.
There is still some concern about a thunderstorm that is coming the end of the week, but if that does not linger and the river only gets to 38 feet, we should be in pretty good shape.
I'll keep you posted!
